  • Hula Lessons and Dance Demonstrations
  • Demonstrates poi balls, and has kids try it for themselves  (Poi balls are soft, lemon-sized balls that are attached to cords.  These are swung in a lasso-like fashion, and are very popular with children and adults alike.)
  • Shows and explains several instruments (drums, lapa sticks, bamboo sticks, gourds)
  • Conch shell blowing contest
  • Polynesian hand stamps
  • Teaches Hawaiian words and Hawaiian names, and how to say "Happy Birthday" in Hawaii
  • Supervised crafts:  (requires additional time and expense)  Making candy leis, poi balls, real Hawaiian leis


  • Dance revue, with emceeing, music and dances of four of the islands
  • Brings children and adults up to learn the hulas
  • Poi ball dance, including teaching kids and adults how to swing the poi balls. (Poi balls are soft, lemon-sized balls that are attached to cords.  These are swung in a lasso-like fashion, and are very popular with children and adults alike.)
  • Audience member to blow the conch shell
  • Tahitian dance to fast drums (with tall headdress)
